He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Kloempken and Edna Kloempken (Gustafson); his in-laws, Neil and Selma Nikunen; his nephew Andy Klotz; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Nikunen, Sharon Feldman, Kathy Nikunen and John Feldman.
He is survived by: his wife Kristine Nikunen of Roseau, MN; his children, Paul of Roseau and Sally Salfer (Elijah) of Duluth, MN; his sisters, Carol Klotz (Charley) of Hermantown, MN, Jan Bierschbach (Mark) of Corona, SD and Sandy Chrzanowski (Mitch) of Grand Rapids, MN; his aunt Betty Fadden (Wayne) of Wayzata, MN; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Nikunen, Dave Nikunen and Bruce Nikunen (Marsha). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
