It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris J Lotus of Rosemount, Minnesota, born in New Auburn, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Gordon Loftus; her parents, Reuben Halvorson and Gertrude Halvorson; and her sister Dolly Shelland. She is survived by: her siblings, Donna Berg of Arden Hills and Ronnie Halvorson of Colfax, WI; her children, Maurya McSheehy (Rick), Monica Soderholm (Dan), Michael Loftus (Amy), Marcia Vogt (Dave), Michelle Meyer (Jo) and Maureen Schroeder (Rick); her grandchildren, Ryan McSheehy (Christine), Kristin McSheehy, Ryan Soderholm, Kristin DeMarco (Anthony), Megan Stanfield (Landon Sr), Leah Loftus, Emmett Loftus, Jacob Vogt (Jessica), Patrick Vogt (Jamie), Jenna Fooshe (Peter IV), Andrew Meyer, Anthony Meyer, Brian Meyer, Peyton Schroeder and Lauren Schroeder; her great grandchildren, Tyler McSheehy, Hailey, Colton Soderholm, Mia, Emma DeMarco, Landon Stanfield Jr., Mallory Vogt, Levi, Allen, Kennie Vogt, Natalie, Noelle and Peter V Fooshe; and her pet Shamrock.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (13900 Biscayne Ave, Rosemount, MN 55068). A Mass will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the American Legion (14590 Burma Ave W, Rosemount, MN 55068). A burial will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Michael's Cemetery.
