Carol J. Schanks Obituary

We announce the death of Carol J. Schanks (Roseville, Minnesota), who passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 86. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband William Schanks; her parents, John Killen and Mabel Killen (Olson); and her siblings, Jim Killen, Pat Schueller, Dee Krenn and Bob Killen.

She is survived by: her children, Theresa Baralatei, Kat Balsimo (Joe) and William Schanks Jr. (Sharon); her grandchildren, Sarah, Christian, Noelle, Joe, Kharmia, Sam and Christopher; her great grandchildren, Haylee, Lily and Vita; and her siblings, Maureen, Mike and Peg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Memorials are preferred to the family.
