He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald W. Drackert and Jeanne Drackert; his uncle Al Drackert; his in-laws, Clarence and Jean Nicholas; and his brother-in-law Doug Nicholas.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Nicholas; his children, Steven Drackert (Kelly) and Trish Case (Scott); his stepdaughters, Kelly Prettner and Elizabeth Prettner; his granddaughters, Kayla Prettner and Jayden Larson; and his siblings, Dennis Drackert (Maria), Tom Drackert (Hinda Abrahamson), Patricia Sailer (Bill) and Connie Bradshaw (Kevin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Harriet Alexander Nature Center in Roseville, Minnesota, or the Veterans Home - Minneapolis, to honor Don's love of nature and his fellow veterans.
