We announce the death of Ellen Schindler of Roseville, Minnesota, born in Murdo, South Dakota, who passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 96. Ellen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Smith and Geil Smith. She is survived by: her husband Marvin Schindler; her children, Karen Erickson (Gordon), Paul (Karen) and Mark; her grandchildren, Matthew Erickson, Christine Pacheco (Michael) and Robert Erickson (Melanie); her great grandchildren, Andrew, Luke, Nathan, Ryan, Zack and Caleb; and her pet Heidi.
