He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Faricy and Mildred Faricy; his son Mark; his brother Jerry; his brother-in-law Tom; and his grandson Samuel.
He is survived by: his daughter Maryann Faricy; his significant other Rhonda Smieja; his significant other's children, Carol Spalony, Jason Smieja (Stephanie) and Travis Smieja (Teri); his grandchildren, Nathan (Carly), Roman, Eyasu, Miles, Steve (Karen) and Brady; his great grandchildren, Katie and Lily; his sister Kay; and his sisters-in-law, Sue, Beth and Jurene. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a wonderfully large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Mark Faricy Memorial Scholarship (https://makingagift.umn.edu), an endowment fund at the University of Minnesota Duluth that supports gifted music majors in Mark's memory — so that, like Jim, it may keep on giving.
