He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bengtson and Cora Bengtson (Brenden); his siblings, Arnold and Lavonne Gilbertson; and his wives, Colette Stensrude and LaVerne.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Schnoor, Fergus Falls, Steven Bengtson (Marilyn) of Underwood and Joanne Wolf of Hawley; and his siblings, Merlin Bengtson (Darlene) of Erhard and Delores Pederson of Fergus Falls. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
