Brenda Lee Mary Schmitt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2025, at the age of 62, Brenda Lee Mary Schmitt of Royalton, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Traut and Margaret Traut (Freihammer). She is survived by: her sons, Jeremy Matthies (Rachael) and Nick Matthies (Brittany); her grandchildren, Lenna, Mason, Lillian and Landon; and her siblings, Diane Stommes (Robert), DuWayne Traut (Diane), Edward Traut (Marta), Gerald Traut (Ruthanne) and Jim Traut (Amy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (130 1st St SW, Rice, MN 56367). A prayer was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center.
