She was predeceased by: her parents, Myron Mallinger and Carrie Mallinger; her husband Gary Behrendt; her sister Myrna Fitzgerald; her brothers-in-law, Robert McCauley, Harry Braun and Butch Auge; and her nephews, Shawn McCauley, Erin McCauley and Todd Mallinger.
She is survived by: her children, David Behrendt (Julie) and Jody Friday (Rick); her grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Devin), Jeremiah Friday (Holly), Zachary Lopez (Nakesha), Jami Johnson (Jared), Bailey Kneiszler (Jack), Beau Behrendt (Samantha), Jacob Behrendt (Summer) and Samuel Behrendt; her great grandchildren, Abrielle, Paigelynn, Kaden, Callen, Tate, Avaya, Willow and Breckyn; and her siblings, Marie McCauley, Linda Heley (Roland), Mike Mallinger (Connie), Marcia Auge, Mavis Hughes (Joe), Milo Mallinger (Patti) and Mel Mallinger (Karen). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church (1000 S Jay Ave, Rush City, MN 55069). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
