It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Erickson (Rushford, Minnesota), who passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Erickson and Myrtle Erickson; his parents-in-law, Ben and Isie Meyer; his siblings, Violet Erickson, Evelyn Nehring (John), Merville Erickson and Leroy Erickson (Phyllis); his niece Dianne Erickson; his nephews, Levi Storm, Douglas Erickson, Loren Erickson (Gary Mazonne), Richard Erickson and Scott Flynn; and his brother-in-law Leslie Erickson.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Meyer Rude (Decorah); his children, Deanna Casterton (Chuck), Paul Rude (Yer Vang) and Mathew Purdy-Rude (Aubrey); his grandchildren, Justin, Katie Casterton, Josh and Kelly Dee; his great grandchildren, Ida, Ava, Carson and Lela; his sister Alida Erickson; and his siblings-in-law, LaVaughn Erickson, Ben Meyer (Pat) and Bobby Meyer (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
