He is survived by: his children, Chad Hokeness (Stacey) of Adrian, MN, Troy Hokeness (Desirée) of Sioux Falls, SD, Sara Hokeness (Mike Detert) of Sioux Falls, SD and Lori Eichner (Matt); his grandchildren, Haley Berglund (Brandon), Jackie Slater (Matt), Rylie Haugen (Jake), Carter Hokeness, Carson, Emerson, Addisyn Hokeness, Jasmine Peiper, Brooklyn Christie, Sam Detert (Kait), Luke Detert (Cali), Jack, Eli Detert, Jackson, Nate and Camden Eichner; his great grandchildren, Bristlyn, Briar, Stetsen Berglund and Daisy Slater; his siblings, Karen Medlin of Chandler, AZ, Irma Preuss, Lois Moeller of Winston-Salem, NC, Ray Jr. Hokeness and Orville Hokeness; and his brother-in-law Gene Dike of Gilbert, AZ..
