He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Voigt and Mercedes Voigt; his wife Barbara Rausch of St. Cloud; his daughter Melanie Primus; and his grandchildren, Meggan, Sam and Mackenzie.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Mel and Barb; his children, Jeffrey Voigt (Renee), Brenda Randolph (Steve Greenfield), Russell Voigt, Trecia Ellis (Walter), Mark Voigt, Paul Voigt and Fritz Voigt (Angie); his grandchildren, Joe, Katie, Shannan, Casondra, Conrad, Luke, Annie, Abby, Mason, Madison and Callie; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Jaydan, Grace, Gabrielle, Tucker, James, Cooper, Lily, Isabelle and Julia; his siblings, Eileen Bialon (Eddie), Shirley Laudenbach (Bob) and Butch Voigt (Mary); his caregiver CentraCare; and his friend Alma. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Memorials may be made to Quiet Oaks Hospice House, which provided Melvin and his family so much comfort during his final days.
