He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Schmidt and June Schmidt (Laudenbach); his stepmother Theresa Schmidt (Witte); and his nephew Charlie Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Reinert; his daughters, Moriah Perreault (Scott) of Rockville, April Schmidt (Jesse Seib) of Monticello and Emily Pearson of St. Augusta; his grandchildren, Madison, Blake Perreault, Will, Weston, Sullivan, Theodore Seib, Connor, Kiara, Kiley and Colton Pearson; and his siblings, Robert Schmidt (Laurie), Cindy Terwey (Tim), Amy Schmidt and Jeff Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Quiet Oaks Hospice House.
