He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Illies and Anna Illies (Faber); and his siblings, Jerome Illies and Marian Illies. He is survived by: his sister Ione Meemken (Wally); and his close friend Carol Murray. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
