She was predeceased by: her parents, William Suvanto and Helen Ruth Suvanto (Gustafson); her husband Norman Johnson; her children, Timothy "George" and Mary; and her brothers, Clarence Suvanto and Bobby Anttila.

She is survived by: her children, Barb Edlund (Gary) of Detroit Lakes, Terry Johnson (Teresa) of Vergas, Brenda Johnson (Donnie Hiltunen) of Frazee, Bonnie Sorlien (Jeff) of Frazee and Becky Luedke of St. Cloud; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Suvanto of Menahga, Debbie Anttila of Texas and Rosella Mickelson of Frazee. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
