He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Clyde" Clement and Bernice Clement (Moreau); and his brothers, Bob, Dick, Walter and Al.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bettenberg (Waterman) of St. Cloud; his children, John (Rochell) of St. Cloud, Julie Brown (Judd) of Stillwater and Jodie Johnson (Mark) of Carlton; his stepdaughters, Renee Bettenberg (Larry Heberling) of Remer and LeeAnne Bettenberg (Brad Strgar) of Chisholm; his siblings, Delores Henderson, Harold (Lou), Jane Gohman, Ralph (Arlene), Don, Art, Bill (Laurie), Jerry (Rita) and Carol Gulbranson (Jim); and his sisters-in-law, Adeline and Berta. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
