With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine L. Vangerud (Saint Cloud, Minnesota), who passed away on March 23, 2026 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ansel Tenney and Dina Tenney (Lien); her husband Richard Vangerud; her daughter Karen Hadland; and her siblings, Roger Tenney, Melba Tengesdal and Dorthea Tenney.
She is survived by: her children, James Vangerud (Heather) of Chaska, MN, Robert Victorin-Vangerud (Nancy) of Mpls and Mary Butler (James) of Isle; her grandchildren, Carl Hadland (Tasha), Chris Hadland (Julia), Aaron Victorin-Vangerud and William Victorin-Vangerud (Hollee); and her great grandchildren, Alaric, Eilif and Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Minnesota Braille and Talking Book Library or the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Education Fund.
