He was predeceased by : his parents, Farrell Johnson and Patricia Johnson (Mattson); and his sister Janel Russell. He is survived by : his wife Cheri J. Stenson; his sons, Ian and Kristopher Johnson (Mackenzie); his grandson Jaxyn Guy Johnson; his siblings, Jeff Johnson (Susan) and Jody Barsness (Curt); and his cousin Brad Kittelson (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Atonement Lutheran Church (1144 29th Ave N, St Cloud, MN 56303). A memorial service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
