He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mahoney and Julia Mahoney (Toth); and his siblings, Barbara Janisch (Dick) and Bill Mahoney. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Backes of St. Cloud; his children, Stephen (Tiffany) of Dexter, MI and Mary (Todd Weston) of Athol, ID; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Nya, John Anton, Brea, Noah and Keegan; his great grandchild Alexander; and his brother Tom "Mike" Mahoney of Park City, UT. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
