She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer S. Sako and Mabel A. Sako (Salmela); her husband Carl Savage; her sister Evon; and her pets, Sase, Sadie and Chloe.
She is survived by: her nieces, Lauren Sako (Scott Krein) and Elaine Pyle (Keith); her stepson Clay (Anita); her nephew Dave (Lisa); her niece Theresa; her great-nephew Benjamin; and her great-niece Natalie (Nik). She is also survived by two great grandnieces and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Carl & Marilyn Savage Scholarship in Information Media at St. Cloud State University.
