He was predeceased by: his parents, James Barber and Joan Barber (Huberty); his brother Russell (Ellen); and his brother-in-law Brad Braun. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Barber of St. Cloud; his sons, Shawn Barber of Little Falls and Derek Barber (Andrea) of Rice; his grandchildren, Samantha (James), Jadee (Katerina), Kendra, Justin and Alex; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Xander; and his siblings, Terri Moe (LeLan) of Monticello, Paula Braun of Clear Lake, Jeff Barber (Jill Bertram) of St. Cloud, Randi Rodriguez (Roger) of Ironton and Darin Barber of St. Cloud.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery (15550 MN-115, Little Falls, MN 56345).
