He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bauer and Marcella Bauer (Hoeschen); and his half-brother Kenneth Hoeschen. He is survived by: his wife Helen Smelter; and his children, Mark (Jennifer) of St. Cloud, Debbie Chanthanouvong (Sinh "Sunny") of Elk River and Jeffrey of St. Cloud. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren; and many in- laws, nieces and nephews.
