He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leyendecker and Mary Leyendecker (Kirchner); his wife Alice Mueller; and his siblings, Agnes Ritsche (Ted), Richard (Evelyn), Norman (Marie), Bernice Roggensack (Roggie), Paul (Rosetta), Elmer (Alvira), Marjorie Hulsing (Kamp), Matt (Marie), Pauline Dineen, Leo and Ralph (Eleanor).
He is survived by: his children, Betty Barthel (Vern) of Sauk Rapids, Steve (Mickie) of St. Cloud, Karen Imholte (Paul) of St. Cloud, Joyce Rask (Mark) of Becker and Kevin of St. Cloud; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Leyendecker. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to the Wounded Warrior Project, the D.A.V. or the Parkinson's Research Center at the University of Minnesota.
