Rita leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rita’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Rita will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alphonse Prom and Josephine Prom (Bidinger); her husband Hugo B. Weyrens of Mary's Cathedral; her brother Richard Prom; her brother-in-law Robert Gill; and her grandson Steven Schulte.
She is survived by: her sister Marcella Gill; and her sister-in-law Arlene Harren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 3:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at the Oct Services Sacred Heart Catholic Church (2875 10th Ave NE, Sauk Rapids, MN 56379).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Cathedral High School.
