He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Lommel and Olivia Lommel (Bichler); his wife Jan of Paul's Catholic Church; his sons, Mark Lommel and Paul Lommel; and his siblings, Richard Lommel, LeRoy Lommel, Dolores Hoffman and Ione James.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Justin Lommel of Paynesville and Jessica Boisjolie (Cody) of Becker; his daughter-in-law Pam Lommel of Pierz; his brother Jim Lommel (Shirley) of Nisswa; and his close friend Marcy Thielen. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
