He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Wright and Evelyn Wright (Sorensen); his siblings, Elwood, Everette, Eunice Wiederhoeft (Delbert), Elaine Panzer (Bill) and Eldora Wolle (Clifford); and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Karau, Ralph Karau, Harley Ratike, Delbert Wiederhoeft, Harold Voelker (Archie), Barry Friesen and Lucy Voelker (Archie).

He is survived by: his wife Joline Karau of Paul's Lutheran Church; his children, Keith Wright (Peggy), Jodie Sletta (Lance) and Tammy Ekstedt (Chad); his grandchildren, Dylan Wright (Ashleigh), Michelle Aspelund, Tommy Aspelund, Kelsey Paarmann (Caleb), Cassidy Ekstedt and Carson Ekstedt (Alyssa); his stepgrandchildren, Aaron, Ben and Shawn; his great grandchildren, Harleigh Wright, Grayson Aspelund, Wallace Paarmann and Evelyn Paarmann; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Peighton, Caleigh, Hailey, Aubrey and Benson; and his sister Eunella Wright (Nellie). He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
