In loving memory of Diane Scherer of Saint Joseph, Minnesota, who departed this world on September 4, 2025 at the age of 66. Diane leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Scherer and Margaret Scherer (Rausch); and her sister Barbara Mary. She is survived by: her siblings, Jim Scherer of Freeport, Lorna Hammer (Rob) of Sauk Centre, Theresa Pearson (Mark) of San Diego, Tom Scherer (Jenni) of Paynesville, Sandy Von Wahlde (John) of St. Rosa, Linda Scherer (Andy Opatz) of Sauk Rapids and Karen Scherer of St. Joseph. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A prayer was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home (418 Fifth Ave SE, Melrose, MN 56352). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (106 3rd Ave NE, Freeport, MN 56331).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
