He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Haakonson and Marcella Haakonson (Daniel); and his sister Susie. He is survived by: his children, Alexis Haakonson (Victor Soler) of Austin, TX, Cody (Kari) of St. Cloud and Tucker of St. Cloud; his granddaughter Harper; and his siblings, Karen Machula (Tom), Karl Haakonson (Pam), Judy Frey (Jerry), Oz Haakonson (Diane), Ruth McGrath (Tom), Joni Grimes (Mike), Terri Vierzba (Bob), Coke Haakonson (Bill Conboy) and Rick Haakonson (Mary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
