Othmar touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmitz and Theresia Schmitz (Schramel); his children, Doris Ethen, Vernon and Daryl; his children-in-law, Cindy Schmitz and Lee Ethen (Geatz); and his siblings, Mike, Edwin, Oswald, Victor, Melvin, Roman, Marie Pierskalla and Wendy Spanier.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Hennen; his sons, Dave (Marian), Ron (Diane), Dan (Janie), Randy (Julie) and Todd (Kaylene); his daughters-in-law, Bonnie Schmitz and Gail Musielewicz; his sisters, Jenny Roering and Theresia Sand; and his sisters-in-law, Delores Schmitz and Dorothy Schmitz. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
