He is survived by: his wife Joyce Thul; his children, Nicole of Willmar, MN and Josh of St. Joseph, MN; and his siblings, Jane McGee of Colfax, NC, Carol Kelash of Waverly, IA, Allen Abeln (Jean Bonfig) of Garrison, MN and Michael Abeln (Barbara Book) of Maple Grove, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Quiet Oaks Hospice House.
