Ruth left this world on June 3, 2025 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Irvin; her parents, Edith Friedman and Israel Friedman; and her siblings, Pearl Lewis (Milt), Robert Friedman (Kate), Pacy Friedman (Enerva), Leah Zeller (Irv), Albert Friedman (Elaine) and Louise Gordon.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Goldetsky (Gary), Larry Schloff (Betty Anear) and Pamela Gaard (Frank); her grandchildren, Joel Goldetsky (Anna), Shira Goldetsky, Jake Klocksien and Mara Klocksien; her great grandchild Charlie Klocksien; her sister Shirley Fidell; and her close friend Harold Wolovitch.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Knollwood Place Apartments (3630 Phillips Pkwy, St Louis Park, MN 55426). A shiva was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sholom for Knollwood Place activities, as Ruth was a very social person.
