She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Gertken and Rosalia Gertken (Fischer); her husband Leander Blonigen of Benedict's Catholic Church; her daughter Sue Smith; her siblings, Ambrose, Elmer, Donald, Larry and Bernice Klaphake; and her siblings-in-law, Wilbert Poepping, John Ehlinger and Dorothy Gertken.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Eichers (Jerome) of Avon, Michael Blonigen (Marsha) of Albany, James Blonigen (Kimberly) of Fort Meyers, Thomas Blonigen (Judy) of Paynesville, Lori Rose Mackedanz (Brian) of Paynesville, Andrew Blonigen (Leigh Ahles) of St. Martin, Martin Blonigen (Jessica) of St. Martin and Jeremiah Blonigen (Carene) of Freeport; her son-in-law William Smith of Albany; her siblings, Lloyd Gertken (Jenny), Eugene Gertken (Sharon), Donna Mae Poepping and Rosie Ehlinger; and her siblings-in-law, Kathy Gertken, Vera Lou Gertken, Tillie Bussmann (Bernard), Penny Blonigen, Annella Blonigen and Richard Klaphake (Linda). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Tree of Life Assisted Living in New Munich.
