She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Koester and Lillie Koester; her husband Frederick; her sister Margaret; her granddaughter Chelsey Nielson; and her sons-in-law, Donald Conlin and Joseph Johnston.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Margaret Johnston, Theresa Nielson (Byron), Kerri Conlin and Mitchell Reins (Lori); her grandchildren, Kellie Gode (Josh), Jared Johnston (Gretchen), Janaya Evenson (Chris), Kyle Reins (Katie) and Kate Reins (Matt Anderson); and her great grandchildren, Braxton, Morgan, Haley, Jalayna, Grant, Jack, Graham, Kacen, Caydence and Henry.
She also volunteered at the church sewing group, making quilts to donate.
