He was predeceased by: his father Donald Illies; his father-in-law Gene Johnson; and his sister-in-law Heidi Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Diana Illies of Saint Michael; his wife Michelle Illies; his children, Matt Illies of Monticello and Katie Kujak (Will) of Winona; his siblings, DeeDee Fessler (Steve) of Saint Michael, Kim Ayres (Bob) of Maple Grove and Bill Illies (Sherry) of Albertville; his mother-in-law Darlene Johnson of Blaine; his sisters-in-law, Suzie Jensen (Russ) of Otsego and Chrissy Anderson (Scot) of San Bernardino, CA; and his close friends, Russ Jensen, Mark Bestick and Bill Pieper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Peterson Chapel (300 Main St N, St Michael, MN 55376). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
