He is survived by: his mother Diana Illies of Saint Michael; his wife Michelle Illies; his children, Matt Illies of Monticello and Katie Kujak (Will) of Winona; his siblings, DeeDee Fessler (Steve) of Saint Michael, Kim Ayres (Bob) of Maple Grove and Bill Illies (Sherry) of Albertville; his mother-in-law Darlene Johnson of Blaine; his sisters-in-law, Suzie Jensen (Russ) of Otsego and Chrissy Anderson (Scot) of San Bernardino, CA; and his close friends, Russ Jensen, Mark Bestick and Bill Pieper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
