He was predeceased by: his wife Carrol J. Fortier; his son-in-law Paul Berning; and his siblings, Forest, Rodney, Claude, Nathan, Eva and Bette.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Berning, Kris Steffens (Jim), Kandy Nelles (Fran), Kelly Dalbec (Brad) and Karmen Zachmann (Gregg); his siblings, Judy Ellingson (Jim), Vickie Payne, Colette Johnson (Bill), Don Mosher (Jane) and Tom Mosher (Jan); and his sisters-in-law, Joan, Judy and Barb Mosher. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
