Arthur Lietz Hackbarth Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Herbert Hackbarth and Emma Hackbarth; his sisters, Charlotte Hackbarth, Eunice Owens (Milton) of Mankato, MN and Rachel Seebach (Carl) of St. Peter, MN; his siblings-in-law, John Schibbelhut of La Crosse, WI, Duane and Carol Amos of Owosso, MI.; and also, George and Ruth Larson (Hooge) of Corunna, MI.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Hackbarth of St. Paul, MN; his children, Philip Hackbarth (Kim) of Neenah, WI, Ruth Harris (Scott) of Minneapolis, MN, Rachel Rathmann (Tom) of Zumbrota, MN and Jonathan Hackbarth (Jennifer) of Sparta, WI; and his siblings, Hilbert Hackbarth of Mankato, MN, Fritz Hackbarth (Rhonda) of Onalaska, WI, Lydia Schibbelhut (John) of La Crosse, WI, Grace Anderson of Mankato, MN and Lois Frieling (Wouter) of Blaine, MN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and their extended families.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (33685 Germania St, Frontenac, MN 55026). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
In addition to his duties as teacher and principal, Art's contributions to the various congregations and schools he served included choir directing, coaching, and whatever was needed at any given time (organist, custodian, cheerleader, or "chief cook and bottle-washer".).
