He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Traxler and Alphonse Traxler; and his former wife Dee. He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his sister Peggy Sass; his sister-in-law Patty Amann; his children, Mary Ozbun (Tom), Mike (Laurel), John (Linda), Kathy Harrington (Mike), Tom (Colleen), Anne Reinhart (Tom), Margaret Newcome (John), Maureen Barth (Greg) and Teresa Lawder (Joe); his grandson Joey Lawder; his sisters, Lorene Lawler (Pat) and Evelyn Nieland (Bob); his parents-in-law, Leona and Andrew Amann; his in-laws, Marion Paul (Harold), Jack Amann and Tom Sass; his nephews, Jim and Joe Lawler; and his friend Quentin Hieptas (Sally). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Catholic Charities and Cretin-Derham Hall High School.
