As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Eric may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlos Volden and Doris Volden. He is survived by: his children, Blaine Volden and Carrie Kinkel (Adam); his sister Joan Platt (Bud); and his sibling's children, Stephanie Platt and Scott Dugstad (Lisa). He is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Risen Savior (1501 Co Rd 42, Burnsville, MN 55306). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Common Hope non-profit organization, commonhope.org, where Eric served as a sponsor and is a cause that was near and dear to his heart.
