We are sad to announce that on June 26, 2025, Gretchen A McGuire (Saint Paul, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Gretchen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gretchen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She is survived by: her husband Glen Carpenter; her children, Liv Kathryn and Will McCauley; her parents, Dennis McGuire and Kathryn McGuire; and her siblings, Matthew (Jane) and Laura Murphy (Nick). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Highland Catholic School or to the Children's Hospital Foundation.
