He was predeceased by: his parents, Josef Wegele and Julianna Wegele; his wife Dolores; and his sisters, Marga and Ilse.

He is survived by: his children, Julie (Todd), Elizabeth and Josef (Kim); and his grandchildren, Krista (Noah), Jacob (Laura), Marlena, Isabella (Sam), Vincent and Owen.
