Jakob leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jakob’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Jakob will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his grandmother Jeanne Rock. He is survived by: his parents, Jerod Schmidt and Heather Schmidt (Shepherd) of Granton, WI; his siblings, Zackary Schmidt of Winona, MN and Rachel (Schmidt); his brother-in-law Tyler Wolden of Pardeeville, WI; and his grandparents, Paul (Mary) Shepherd, Don and Donna of Hillsboro, WI. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Unfortunately, he lost his battle fighting the chains of mental health and addiction despite counseling and excellent resources such as the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
