He is survived by: his wife Lottie Chatman; his children, Brenda Chatman, Mildred "Millie" Chatman, Jessica Dillard, Candace Stewart, James Chatman Jr., Paul Chatman and Tamarcus Wilks; and his siblings, William J. Chatman (Jessie) and Mildred V. Chatman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Simple Traditions (488 Humboldt Ave, St Paul, MN 55107).
