It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Alexander Downey III of Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander Downey II and Dorothea Zertler Downey. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughter Meaghan Kolebuck; his son-in-law Paul Kolebuck; his grandchildren, Andrew, James and Caroline; his daughter Elizabeth Milone; his son-in-law Richard Milone; his grandsons, Jack, Luke and Michael; and his siblings, Dorothea Russell (Bob Miller) and Christopher Downey (Jeannie Shapiro Downey). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Stanislaus (398 W Superior St, St Paul, MN 55102).
