He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike and Julia; his former wife Albertine; and his siblings, Mary Maslanko (Walter) and Mike Warholik (Josie).
He is survived by: his wife Louise; his children, Joanne, Allan, Doreen Opsal (Shane), David, Michael Bodnar (Tracy) and Darryl Bodnar (Donna); his grandchildren, Stephanie Greenstein, Kristen Greenstein, Andrew (Emma), Colton McDonald, Tyler Robertson (Karen), Dylan Opsal (Jennalee), Chase Opsal, Brooklyn Headon (Brent) and Morgan Bodnar; and his great grandchildren, Sebastian Rowe, Aubree Robertson, Ryley Robertson, Hadlee Headon and Harlow Headon. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
