With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Mae Cunningham of Saint Paul, Minnesota, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Nelson and Lydia Nelson; her husband Charles Cunningham; and her siblings, Anne Louise Nelson, Harold and Raymond.
She is survived by: her brother Doug Nelson (Sue); her children, Dawn Ostrem (Timothy) and Greg Cunningham (Kimberly); and her grandchildren, Karyn Vander Kooy (Seth), Thomas, Erik Ostrem, Kaitlin and Ryan Cunningham. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mount Olivet Lutheran Church (5025 Knox Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church (5025 Knox Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mount Olivet Lutheran Church (5025 Knox Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55419), the Minnesota Orchestra (1111 Nicolet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403) or MacPhail (501 S. 2nd St., Minneapolis MN 55401).
