He was predeceased by: his parents, Ix Joseph Romero and Beverly Frederick; his parents-in-law, Kelly Frederick and Clara Fournier; and his brothers-in-law, Gregory Suire, Bubba Frederick and Jude Frederick.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Frederick Romero; his children, Nathan Joseph Romero (Allison), Ashley Nicole Meaux (Kody) and Trenton James Romero (Julie); his grandchildren, Rhea, Kelly, Adele, Caroline, Nora, Rhett and Leigh Anne; and his sisters, Deanna Broussard (Black), Patricia Suire and Freddie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
