He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Vander Poel (Kathy); his children, Jennifer Silvera-Lindemer (Steve), Cynthia Vander Poel, Deanna Ekholm (Jim), Sarah Vander Poel and Adam Vander Poel (Lori); and his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Evan, Casja, Jordan, Onie, Maddelyn, Ian, Janaeyah, Nevaeh, Joseph, Lamar Jr., Andrew and Emerson.
