She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Schmidt and Gertrude Schmidt; and her sister Ellen Kalis. She is survived by: her children, Joseph (Marcie), Steven, Thomas (Jan) and Suzanne (Jim Casper); her grandchildren, Patrick (Tyler Christensen), Maria (Zach Carron), Anna (Chris Captain), John Paul, Elizabeth (Nick Gustafson), Katherine (Joel Vanderveen), Margaret (Theodore Bowie), Sarah Becker (Alex Syverson), Michael (Jessica), Jack and Robbie Casper; her great grandchildren, Margot, Madeline and Jamie; and also Donald.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church (1938 Stanford Ave, St Paul, MN 55105). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Mayo Clinic's Alzheimer's Research (https://give.mayoclinic.org) or College of St. Benedict.
