He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Peterson and Richard Peterson; his son Rick; his brother William H. "Bill" Peterson; and his sister-in-law Carol Peterson.

He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughter Corinne (John Moore); and his sister-in-law Marilyn Konkler (Bruce). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
