She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Bachmeyer and Audrey Bachmeyer; her sister Donna Johhnson; her siblings-in-law, Alan Johnson, John Walania, Gary Guenther and Carmen Nelson; her nephew Rusty Guenter; her grandson Dustin Nelson; and her pet Daisy.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel Nelson; her children, Daniel "Joe" Nelson (Amy), Denise Aspelund (Alan) and Dalaina Sandland (Travis); her sisters, Roxanne Guenther and Tammy Walania; and her grandchildren, Lucas (Nicole), Tommy, David (Alysha), Coralie (Dillon), Danielle, Ryan and Jaxen. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
A lunch will be served following the service, In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorials be directed to Benedictine Living Community (https://www.benedictineliving.org) in appreciation of the care Darlene received, or to the Alzheimer's Association in support of those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
